Third grade is a very challenging school year. Your child is now considered a "real" student, so the difficulty of the work kicks up a notch. The first thing you'll notice is more homework. At first, this may actually seem fun to you and your child. Don't be fooled! Interest will probably wane as the school year progresses. But before it does, take advantage of this time to help build great study habits. Strong study skills can contribute significantly to your child's academic progress, both now and in the years ahead.
